Rosa Mundi is an ancient rose already known in Denmark in the middle age. It is vigorous and tough, grow by rootshoot and can be cut by a pair og hedge shears.
Rosa Mundi is my starting point for a number of woodcuts where I have played with limited elements and limited colours – 2 red, 2 green, a burnt siena and very little yellow. This gave a numerous amount of possibilities.
